Hello fine programmers,
I am new to redux saga.
I am talking about this example: https://redux-saga.js.org/ (click the 2nd tab, then).
Line 7:
import { call, put, takeEvery, takeLatest } from 'redux-saga/effects'
import Api from '...'
// Worker saga will be fired on USER_FETCH_REQUESTED actions
function* fetchUser(action) {
try {
const user = yield call(Api.fetchUser, action.payload.userId);
yield put({type: "USER_FETCH_SUCCEEDED", user: user});
} catch (e) {
yield put({type: "USER_FETCH_FAILED", message: e.message});
}
}
// Starts fetchUser on each dispatched USER_FETCH_REQUESTED action
// Allows concurrent fetches of user
function* mySaga() {
yield takeEvery("USER_FETCH_REQUESTED", fetchUser);
}
Does the instruction "yield call(Api.fetchUser, action.payload.userId);" block or does it not block ?
Background is, I need to find out, weather the next line (yield put...) will only be executed, once the instruction before "yield call(...)" has returned.
Thank you in advance SpeedyV
